A RAINSTORM, A DOVE, AND A RAINBOW

Noah at 600 years old began a journey that changed the world forever. He tried for 120 years to tell the people of his generation that God was about to destroy everything upon the earth. Storyteller Jim Two Crows Wallen tells Noah's powerful story in first person. The performance is based upon the Book of Genesis chapters 7-9.
This program is recommended for family members ages 10 & up. Not available for small children.

FATHER CHRISTMAS

Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus but he is only about 150 years old. Before Santa Claus was born many cultures of the World came to America and brought their stories, holidays, and traditions. Many of these are still practiced in our homes today. The 2009 season will feature stories, traditions and artifacts from Spain and Australia.

A VISIT WITH SANTA

Hear Santa tell a story and make a special holiday craft or color a picture that your child can take home. Moms, Dads, Grandmas, and Grandpas bring your camera because Santa wants to visit with each child to make sure that special gift is on his list so he can check it twice!
A thirty minute program for those who believe.

ACROSS THE WIDE MISSOURI INTO THE KONZA PRAIRIE

Your family has decided to move maybe to Missouri, maybe Kansas. Jim Two Crows through stories and artifacts will show what it was like to live in the wilderness territory of the Missouri River or to homestead on the Kansas Prairies.
Very participatory 45 minute program was designed for elementary students studying Missouri or Kansas statehood and history.

TIPI DAYS (TEPEE DAYS)

Will you fly with the birds, run with the animals, cry with the owls, slide with coyote down a mesa? Two Crows use of artifacts and historically accurate clothing respectfully teaches the history of these people during the westward expansion. Imaginations will soar as Two Crows brings the myths and legends to the minds eye of his listeners. Along the way you will enjoy the audience participation, and the way he disposes of the stereotypical misconceptions about these people.

DOWN THE SANTA FE TRAIL

Load up! We're 800 miles away. Did we bring the right merchandise? Are our mules healthy enough for the journey? Will the weather hold? Travel with Two Crows through stories and artifacts, along the way we'll meet diverse cultures, terrain, hardships and rewards of the famous Santa Fe Trail.

This 45 minute program is available for elementary, middle school, high school, adult and senior groups.

TWO CROWS' FUR COMPANY

"I'm half horse, half alligator and a little touched of the snappin' turtle." Are you tough enough to survive the perils of the Rocky Mountain fur trapper of the early 1800's? If chosen from Two Crows audience you will be asked to participate in a death defying trip from St. Louis to deep in the heart of the Rockies. Each participant with an authentic artifact will learn if it helped him or her to survive. The captivating history of the extraordinary mountain men Jim Bridger, Hugh Glass, and others will be discovered through Two Crows spell binding stories.

This one hour program is available for upper elementary, middle shool, high school, adult, and senior groups.

ELISHA WALLEN, THE LONGHUNTER

The longhunters had their origins in the 18th Century. Men like Daniel Boone, Simon Kenton, and Davy Crockett blended Indian and pioneer culture in their dress and actions. They explored and helped settle half a continent. Their rifles and clothing were efficient, beautiful, and completely American. Elisha Wallen was such a man. Jim Two Crows Wallen a possible descendent of Elisha Wallen (considered the very first longhunter by some historians) lets his audience experience Colonial history through artifacts, historically accurate clothing, while telling Elisha's compelling story.

This program is for 4th grade and up. It is especially designed for those studying the Colonial Period and meets many of the educational standards including social studies, communication arts, and science. It is also excellent for adult and senior groups.

BUCKSKINS, FURS, AND CALICOS

Which fur was prized by the fur trapper, a bear, wolf, or beaver skin? This very popular program compares the lifestyles of the Native Americans, fur trappers and pioneers during the 19th century America. Artifacts, stories, and audience participation will give you a better understanding of how each of these three groups lived and interacted with each other.

This 45 minute program is available for family and elementary students studying this time period of American history.

JOHN BROWN "I SAY LET IT BE DONE"

In December 1859 John Brown sat in his jail cell visiting with reporters just hours before his hanging. Jim Two Crows Wallen portrays John Brown in first person reflecting back upon his childhood through abolitionist days culminating in his capture at Harper's Ferry. This very participatory program will include audience members becoming reporters asking Brown questions that will keep everyone spellbound.

Now if it is deemed necessary that I should forfeit my life for the furtherance of the ends of justice, and mingle my blood further with the blood of my children and with the blood of millions in this slave country whose rights are disregarded by wicked, cruel, and unjust enactments, ... I say let it be Done!"

WAGON'S WEST

May 1, 1852, Pa says it will be a great adventure and a new life. Ma's afraid.
May 2, 1852, Pa bought the wagon> Some families chose oxen. Pa chose mules.
May 3, 1852, We loaded our supplies, 300 lbs. of flour, 75 lbs of bacon, coffee, sugar and beans. Grandmother's old rocker and Ma's good dishes. We leave early in the morning.

TRUE TALL TALES AND OTHER LIES (DID GRANDDAD REALLY SAY THAT?)

This side-splitting, belly laughing program features Jim Two Crows Wallen sharing stories of growing up in the Ozarks. Although he was raised in Independence, Missouri, Jim spent most of his summers on his grandfather's 300 acres in Benton County, Missouri. Jim's grandfather Jimmie Crow Wallen was by far the best tall tale teller he ever knew. Be prepared to be pulled into a story that will have you asking, "Did Granddad Really Say That?"

This 45 minute program is available for middle school, high school, adult, and senior audiences.

WE'RE OFF TO THE GOLD FIELDS!

Have you ever panned for gold or rocked the cradle? If not let Jim Two Crows Wallen through artifacts and stories look through the eyes of the gold prospector. The journey will include several gold rushes including Georgia, California, Colorado, Yukon, and Nome. Listen to the miners stories and struggles and the voices of those left behind.

This 45 minute program is available for elementary, middle school, high school, adult and family audiences.

This near perfect expedition follows the trail as Captain's Lewis and Clark lead more than 40 men to the Pacific Ocean and back. Jim Two Crows brings the expedition to life, he will make you feel like you were there as he immerses you in the stories and artifacts of the journey. Two Crows will highlight George Shannon the youngest member of the trip.

This 45 minute program can be expanded to a two hour performance of the entire journey depending on your needs.It is available for family, upper elementary, middle school, high school, adult and senior groups.

CAPTAIN GREYBEARD'S PIRATICAL BANTER

Bold buccaneers wishing to set sail for a swashbuckling adventure will enjoy Captain Greybeard's pirate entertainment for the young child and the young at heart.

This program is family oriented and non-violent. Ahhrr Matey!

TWO WOMEN, A BLACKBEARD, & THE PRIVATEERS

This program will delve into the history of piracy debunking the glamorous and romantic side of pirates and tell the real life stories of Mary Reed, Anne Bonney, Edward Teach "Blackbeard", John Paul Jones, and Jean Lafitte.

Due to the graphic content of material this program is for ages 13 and up.

NATIVE TALES OF THE LEWIS AND CLARK TRAIL

These are fun, interactive, "how and why" stories from the Native Americans that Lewis and Clark would have heard while traveling on their journey.

Your pre-schooler through 3rd grade students will be mesmerized by their very participatory tales. Program length 45 minutes.
